We would like to inform our valued guests that the Park and the Maze are temporarily closed due to the severe damage caused by the violent storm on June 2.
Restoration and safety works are currently underway. The Park and the Maze will reopen as soon as all repair work has been completed and the area has been fully restored to ensure the safety of our visitors.
In search of the Minotaur, it is easy to get lost in the park's exceptional boxwood labyrinth.
The labyrinth of Gabiano Castle constitutes one of the very rare documented examples within the
historic gardens in Piedmont. It is of exceptional importance not only because of its rarity but also because of the historical period in which it was created.
The location of the labyrinth in the heart of the park emphasizes the contrast between the rigid, geometric lines of the layout and the natural park that surrounds it, recalling the medieval concept of the forest as a natural labyrinth (park) and labyrinth as an artificial forest where nature is strictly manipulated and controlled by man.
